The Oculus Floor Lamp by Porus Studio is a sculptural floor lamp crafted in alabaster and aged brushed brass, inspired by Santiago Calatrava’s Oculus in New York. Its name comes from the Latin word oculus, meaning a circular opening or eye, an architectural idea translated here into a composition of light, rhythm, and movement.

Three illuminated alabaster spheres are arranged at different heights along a slender central stem, each framed by a curved brass arm that recalls a glowing architectural aperture. When lit, the natural veining of the alabaster becomes visible, diffusing the light into a warm and atmospheric glow. The aged brushed brass structure introduces a subtle texture, while refined knurled details add depth and tactility to the design.
