The Oculus Table Lamp by Porus Studio is a sculptural table lamp made from natural alabaster and aged brushed brass, inspired by Santiago Calatrava’s Oculus in New York. Its circular composition references the Latin meaning of oculus, a circular opening or eye, transforming an architectural idea into an intimate decorative lighting piece.

At the centre of the design, an illuminated alabaster sphere is held within a sweeping curved brass frame. The natural veining of the stone comes alive when illuminated, creating a warm, soft and diffused glow. A fine aged brass band traces the centre of the sphere, reinforcing its geometric form, while a knurled metal detail introduces a tactile contrast to the smooth alabaster surface.

Compact but highly sculptural, the Oculus Table Lamp works as both a source of ambient light and a decorative object. It is ideal for luxury hotel suites, lounges, reception areas, restaurants, and boutique interiors. In residential spaces, it can be placed on a bedside table, console, side table or desk, adding warm illumination and an architectural focal point.
