Category Dining TableOptimism in its truest form, this modern dining table was influenced by The Underground Railroad. The Underground Railroad. The Underground Railroad was a network of secret routes and safe houses used by enslaved African Americans to escape to free states and Canada. The term is also used to refer to the abolitionist movement that assisted fugitives along the way. The Underground Railroad was one of the most important aspects of the fight against slavery in the United States. This was the base inspiration for the Northup Dining Table.
The track inspired metal base slowly moves upward, supporting a modern Negro Marquina and Calacatta marble top of the Northup Dining Table.These marble combination gives rhythm and light to any dining room.
